There are so many ways to play with this simple rainbow bunny game! As I mentioned before, E loves bunnies so I purchased this game at our grocery store for $3. You stack the bunnies on the platforms, roll the die, then try to remove the color you rolled with the little carrot hook. The game is now marked down on clearance since Easter is over so if you hurry you can find it for even less! I had even more educational ideas for these rabbits, though!
I bought these rabbits as soon as I spotted them because they are so versatile for play and learning.
We sorted them by color.
We introduced patterns. E is 3, so we focus on AB patterns for now. She can complete one I've started or create her own.
We played a color matching game with eggs where I asked her to put the bunny in an egg of the same color. Working on opening and closing plastic eggs is great for fine motor muscles and doesn't just have to be for Easter time!
Our youngest, D, joined in to practice controlling his hands by trying to hold the eggs (and get them to his mouth)!
The holiday came early this year, but you can keep those fun decorations out a bit longer to enjoy them all spring long! Please comment to let me know what you found on clearance that you can use with your children to play and learn!
