Our elf brought us green kinetic sand and as you can see it is completely moldable into a Christmas tree shape. It holds its shape when sculpted yet if you let it pour from your hand it takes on the properties of dry sand again. It's irresistible! It's available in a great variety of colors.
Of course, our preschooler E wanted to play right away too! First she checked out the texture and properties of the kinetic sand.
She decorated the Christmas tree with our acrylic push pins! We have two different types that look like lights and ornaments.
She put a star on top to finish her tree! Sculpting and decorating her kinetic sand Christmas tree was fabulous fine motor work.
One of the best parts of kinetic sand is that it doesn't stick to your hands (which my sensory sensitive kiddo loves) and it is super easy to clean up (which makes me happy)! Have you played with kinetic sand yet?
