This month for Virtual Book Club for Kids we read the book Madeline. Our kids created a snack to go with the story, too. They loved making and eating Madeline hat cookies!

We made hats that look just like the ones in the book Madeline by using regular sized Nilla Wafers, mini Nilla Wafers, and blue icing.
Simply use the icing to stack the cookies on top of each other to resemble a hat! Read more about E's adorable and seasonal nails!
Press gently to form the perfect hat! They are as delicious as they are adorable!
Of course, just like in the book, serve in twelves in two straight lines. We used this opportunity to sneak in a math discussion!

What a fun and simple to set up activity. I don't think we get those cookies in the UK but I could certain make some sugar cookie dough and make different sized circles. Thanks for the inspiration.
