This month's Virtual Book Club for Kids book is Corduroy! The bear is missing a button and goes on an adventure to find a new one.
Do you have fond memories of sorting through a button collection with someone you loved when you were a child? Our kids jumped at the chance to play with our colorful buttons.
We sorted the buttons by size, shape, color, and how many holes they contain. I asked our kids if they could create stacks of the buttons of the same color.
This fine motor challenge kept their hands busy as we discussed the story and other parts of our day. It's the perfect rainy day activity or preschool center.
