E dances with her "baby Vi" doll at her sister's fundraiser. The only bad part about this celebration was the sinking feeling I got when I realized E thought that she would see her sister again at "her dance party."
In April of 2012, the same week that we found out that we were pregnant with our rainbow, D, we held a Zumba fundraiser in memory of Violet. We raised $4,208 for Sustaining Grace to gift families with fatal prenatal diagnoses with non-medical 3D ultrasounds.
This was just the beginning of the legacy Violet has left behind in our hands. We will continue to honor and remember her by raising money for future families in the same heartbreaking situation that we were in.
