Valentine's Day Sensory Sink

When we first saw Rainbow Soap Foam we knew we'd be experimenting with it soon!  We did just that in our Valentine's Day Sensory Sink!

We used the instructions from Fun at Home with Kids (in the link above) to whip up plenty of soap foam. We tinted ours in Valentine's Day colors: red, pink, and violet, of course!

The next time we make soap foam I plan set it up as an invitation to play.  I'll have it all prepped and ready for the kids before I show them. I really would have liked to fill the sink with more bubbles and colors but E ran out of patience.  After ever batch she asked, "Now can I touch it?! Is it time?"  So I let her dig in!

I began by giving D some foam on his high chair tray but he was much happier to be standing in the kitchen helper with E.

A silicone basting brush was a fun addition to the sensory sink.  We also had a heart cookie cutter, plastic heart containers, and other Valentine's Day trinkets to find in the foam.

Clean up was a breeze!  We searched for the loose parts then rinsed the sink.  It was sparkling after our sensory fun!
