We are thrilled to be taking part in Playdough to Plato's Busy Bag Series! Can you believe this is the first time we've ever made busy bags? I don't know why we waited so long because our preschooler E said she wanted to try them all right now! They kept her quietly content over several afternoons so far.
I created printables of an igloo, a Christmas tree, a gingerbread man, and a gingerbread house. Once you slip the papers in sheet protectors they become reusable sticker sheets!
I set out a collection of Christmas themed stickers from our local dollar store as well as white rectangular labels that became igloo ice bricks!
We had to check to make sure the stickers were removable. Yes, the work perfectly! Even our preschooler can remove them herself which is great for her fine motor skills.
From the Christmas tree to the gingerbread man, E loved decorating her sticker sheets. She would change her mind and re-position her stickers whenever she felt the need.
When she was finished working we put the stickers and sheets in a folder for the next day! She asks for them every afternoon while her brother naps. They are the perfect quiet time activity and they'd also be great for traveling in a car or plane!
Make sure you create all of these holiday busy bags to keep the elves occupied while Santa finishes his work this Christmas:
