Our Elf on the Shelf has been bringing educational invitations for our kids to play and learn! He created a Christmas tree geoboard as a hands on fine motor math activity!

We love giving our math geoboard a holiday spin. We've made geoboard jack-o-lanterns faces and turkey tails for Thanksgiving! Our elf Dodee must have been watching because he used green yarn to create a Christmas tree shape. He decorated it with pom poms which invited our kids to do the same.
Together our preschooler and toddler decorated the tree over and over with both pom poms and stretchy fabric loops. They are learning about math through symmetry and measurement exploration. They are working on fine motor skills too!
