This week's preschool theme is our lovely home the Earth! If you are looking for a quick and easy Earth Day craft for kids then this mess free Earth craft is perfect.

To create our No Mess Earth Day Painting, you will need the following supplies:
- large plastic zip bags
(Brand name seems to be the most durable and yes, we reuse these to be earth friendly! Just wash out and hang upside down to dry!)

I dumped out a bit of green and blue paint on each kid's plate then placed the plates inside the bags and sealed them. You could also tape these to the table for younger children.
Both our five year old and our two year old loved smooshing the paint around to create their Earth. This was fantastic fine motor practice for them.
I loved how I could have both kids simultaneously painting in our living room without worrying about a mess!
Once the whole plate was covered in paint I carefully removed them from the bag to let them air dry. You can let these outside if it's a nice day or try a paper drying rack indoors.
And yes, since this is an Earth Day craft (and because we always love to recycle), I did wash out the bags for more mess free painting on another day!
