We love spiders! They seemed like such a natural way to introduce multiplication as repeated addition to our daughter. It's a seasonal idea with spider rings, too!

We love spider rings so we've used them for many play based learning activities! We've hidden spiders in play dough for fine motor work, made glowing spider webs, hatched them with baking soda and vinegar, and held oral sensory spider races!
For this multiplication activity, I put spiders times legs on an index card. Our daughter had to complete the equation. She used the spiders to get her answers counting by twos as needed!
