Begin by packing a tray or baking dish full of snow. We didn't have any outside so we used our ice shaver to make our own snow!
Our daughter squirted small amounts of liquid watercolors on to the snow. You could try food coloring, too!
Next she stirred up the pretty colors with a chopstick. This was fun fine motor work and so mesmerizing to watch, too!
She pressed small pieces of cardstock into the dyed snow. You could use index cards as well.
When she lifted the cards back out of the snow, they were each lightly printed with beautiful colors!
You'll want to try this process art over and over again because each piece turns out so beautifully unique! You could write letters on these cards or turn them into other craft projects.
Have you gotten snow this winter where you live or will you need to make your own? Either way, we can't wait to hear from you when you try this snow process art for kids!
