Elephant and Piggie books are our absolute favorite series of children's books. Have you read them? Today we're reading the one about friendship and sharing ice cream. We've created a name puzzle activity where kids can work on spelling their own names and their friends' names with ice cream cones!

This week's children's book for the Virtual Book Club for Kids is Should I Share My Ice Cream? by Mo Willems! It's perfect for a summer theme or any time of year for teaching kids to be kind to friends. Sharing is hard work!
Everyone loves ice cream! Especially Elephant. When he gets "awesome, yummy, sweet, super, great, tasty, nice, cool ice cream" with his best friend Piggie?

Allowing children to decide when and if to share is an important life skill. After you read how Elephant contemplates this dilemma and what he ultimately decides, we have several ice cream themed ideas for you to try with your children!
Print out and cut our ice cream printable for your child. You may want to laminate these for durability. (This is our favorite laminator for home and school!)
Write each child's name on the cone if needed. (More advanced learners may not need this step.) Children will find the letters that spell their name and put them in order with first letter at the top going down to complete their name ice cream cone!
No need to share this one! It's personalized! We'd love to see your pictures on our Facebook page or if you'd kindly tag us on Instagram!
