Whether it's chilly outside or you just want to cool off on a hot day, penguin ice activities are irresistible for kids! We love ice races for the oral sensory stimulation they provide as well as the fine motor work required. Our children just love the slip sliding penguin antics!

Remember our spider races? They were a huge hit both in our home and on Pinterest!
Now that it's winter we're using ice for our aim. We made this even more fun for the kids by freezing penguin ice cubes!
Challenge kids to race their penguin to the water the fastest! We used blue paper as finish line. The kids move their ice with their straw and deep breaths.
If you'd rather keep things collaborative instead of competitive, invite kids to get all the penguins to dive into the water together.
Would your kids rather race the penguins, work together to gather them up, or use this as a quiet time activity? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
