Robot Name Puzzle

The first and most important word a child learns to read, spell, and write is his or her name! Kids love this robot name puzzle mat as a hands on way to practice putting the letters in names in order.

Kids learn to read, spell, and write their name with this free robot name puzzle mat!

Whether you want to print one robot name puzzle for your own child or a whole preschool classroom set, we have tips and all the supplies you need to make this quiet activity durable.

Begin by printing the robot that has the correct amount of circles to correspond with the letters in the name. We'll give you the free printable at the end of this post!

You'll need a plastic bottle cap for each letter as well. We ask friends and family to collect these from their water bottles for us so we always have a supply on hand. Put a circle sticker on each cap. Write the letters on the labels.

We either laminate our name puzzle sheets (I love our home laminator!) or slide them into these reusable pockets.

If kids need a bit more help with their names you can write the letters on the circles for them to match. Put the caps inside the pocket as well to create the perfect preschool center or quiet time activity for kids to try independently!

Please note: The free printable available to my newsletter subscribers is the one pictured with 6 buttons/letters in the name. You can adapt this for your needs or
